Does Direct TV have a few free preview channels every month like Dish does?
Friday, January 9th, 2009SpencerS asked:
When we had Dish, there was a channel that showed us wat channels they gave us free for 1 month (usually about 3). Does Direct TV have this? Or is it not a channel, if so then how do i get to it? If they do have it, what is the channel number? I’m asking this because over the weekend i noticed we had several movie channels for a few days then were gone.

Is it possible to have just free local TV thru Direct TV instead of the package I never watch?

I just purchased high speed (cable) internet. Will I automatically get basic cable TV for free now?

My friend says that since I am paying for high speed cable access I will be getting free basic cable television and that I don’t have to pay ‘extra’ for the TV cable service.

I was told cable companies charge you extra because they ‘already know’ that you are getting Television basic cable for free when you sign up for high speed cable internet.
Is this true?
